Registered Manager

I started DesCare in 2001 because I wanted to make a real change in the UK’s care industry. Having my own disability made me realise just how important it is to have quality support, and I want to make sure that everyone has access to a care system that provides equal rights and opportunities in our communities.

With over a decade of hands-on experience in care, I have discovered an affinity for those with behaviours that may challenge and have dedicated my service to the individuals and families that often go overlooked in our society.

To unwind I love travelling, playing basketball, listening to music and reading about religion and autobiographies of great leaders.

You should be naturally warm-hearted, yet resilient, and have a genuine interest in the lives of our service users. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills are much more important to us than any previous experience, as we offer full training and plenty of opportunities to grow and develop. You should also enjoy being part of a friendly, sociable team that has close links to the local community.
